Being a Tourist

In this blog entrance I am going to talk about my experience as a tourist this year in a cute town in France. In this town I specially felt as a tourist because I didn’t know the language as well as I would want to. I really liked the way the French people talked, with their little mouth and their almost whispering voices. It was an interesting experience because of what I am used to in Spain. Here people laugh out loud and are most of the time pretty noisy, and if you eat in a closed restaurant you can listen to all the different conversations; but there it is totally different. I laughed every time I came into a restaurant that was over-booked with people, but was nearly silent.

I also liked their way of living. In my opinion, they use their time better and they do it in a more healthy way. They wake up earlier, but still have enough sleeping hours; they eat healthier, but their food is delicious; they have dinner early, but they can still go out afterwards, this means they have time for family and friends.

In conclusion, the French people, towns and culture are very enriching and wonderful to learn about. Still, I live happily in Spain, with a different way of living but the same smile on my face. Even though France and Spain are so close to each other, they are very different. But as they say, “different strokes for different folks”.
